You at UCalgary 2026 Passport Challenge Leaders

Volunteer for You at UCalgary 2026! You at UCalgary is our annual welcome event for incoming undergraduate students who have accepted their offer and are getting ready to join our community. On Saturday, April 11, 2026, more than 3,000 future Dinos and their supporters will be on campus to explore programs, meet our team, and experience what it’s like to join UCalgary this fall.

We’re building a small but mighty Passport Challenge Leader Team to help deliver an amazing guest experience—and this opportunity is only open to pre‑existing Campus Tour Guides and Orientation Leaders (OLs). As a Passport Challenge Leader, you’ll play a key role in bringing energy, clarity, and fun to the event. Responsibilities include:

    • Guide groups of approx. 15-25 incoming students around campus through the Passport Challenge activity
    • Support students who may be nervous, shy, or unsure where to go
    • Help groups navigate between stations and understand how the challenge works
    • Create a warm, supportive, and engaging experience—without delivering a structured campus tour.

Your expertise and familiarity with campus make you the perfect fit to help new students feel confident, supported, and excited for their UCalgary journey. To sign up as a Passport Challenge Leader, please complete the form below.

If you're not a campus tour guide or an orientation leader, uou can still be involved! Sign up as a General Volunteer on the Welcome & Wayfinding Team here.

The University of Calgary, located in the heart of Southern Alberta, both acknowledges and pays tribute to the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, which include the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprised of the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta (Districts 5 and 6).

The University of Calgary is situated on land Northwest of where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, a site traditionally known as Moh’kins’tsis to the Blackfoot, Wîchîspa to the Stoney Nakoda, and Guts’ists’i to the Tsuut’ina. On this land and in this place we strive to learn together, walk together, and grow together “in a good way.”
