You at UCalgary 2026 Welcome & Wayfinding Team

Volunteer for You at UCalgary 2026! You at UCalgary is our annual welcome event for incoming undergraduate students who have accepted their offer and are getting ready to join our community. On Saturday, April 11, 2026, more than 3,000 high school students and their supporters will be on campus to explore programs, meet our team, and experience what it’s like to be a future Dino.

To ensure guests feel supported and can easily navigate campus, we're building a dedicated Wayfinding & Welcome Team. Volunteers will help greet attendees, provide directions, support passport activity stations, staff welcome tables, and assist with general event needs. Your support helps create a warm, seamless experience for our newest students (the class of 2030)! To sign up as a Welcome & Wayfinding volunteer, please complete the form below.

Are you a pre‑existing Campus Tour Guide or Orientation Leader? If so, please sign up as a Passport Challenge Leader here instead. This specialized role is reserved for current Tour Guides and OLs so we can offer guided Passport Challenge experiences for incoming students!

The University of Calgary, located in the heart of Southern Alberta, both acknowledges and pays tribute to the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, which include the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprised of the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta (Districts 5 and 6).

The University of Calgary is situated on land Northwest of where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, a site traditionally known as Moh’kins’tsis to the Blackfoot, Wîchîspa to the Stoney Nakoda, and Guts’ists’i to the Tsuut’ina. On this land and in this place we strive to learn together, walk together, and grow together “in a good way.”
