Inspiring women in engineering through engaging problems and fascinating career opportunities- that’s what Go ENG Girl is all about. At the Schulich School of Engineering, we want students to know that a rich and diverse engineering community is essential to finding solutions to society's biggest challenges. We’re committed to increasing the representation of women and other underrepresented groups in engineering while celebrating their contributions to innovation and design.

Join us for this free annual event for Grade 7 to 11 students in underrepresented groups and experience an exciting introduction to the world of engineering. With events hosted at most of Canada’s top universities, Go ENG Girl provides opportunities to learn more about engineering through a series of fun hands-on activities and exhibits. Whether you’re interested in building, designing, innovating, solving complex challenges, or wanting to view the world in a different lens, this event is for you.

If your participant has accessibility and accommodation needs, please contact schulichdiversity@ucalgary.ca.

Note: While the content is designed for youth currently in grades 7-11, we welcome students one or two grades above and below this range to register.

The University of Calgary, located in the heart of Southern Alberta, both acknowledges and pays tribute to the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, which include the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprised of the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta (Districts 5 and 6).

The University of Calgary is situated on land Northwest of where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, a site traditionally known as Moh’kins’tsis to the Blackfoot, Wîchîspa to the Stoney Nakoda, and Guts’ists’i to the Tsuut’ina. On this land and in this place we strive to learn together, walk together, and grow together “in a good way.”
