    UCalgary Recruitment and Admissions

Why should you take a UCalgary Campus Tour?

The moment you step onto a university campus, something shifts. Maybe it's the energy of students weaving between classes, the quiet hum inside a bright study space, or the feeling that you are standing at the starting line of your next big adventure. This is exactly why a prospective student should experience a campus tour at the University of Calgary!

A campus tour will give you the chance to imagine your future here, to walk through the spaces where you might study, meet new friends, or discover new interests. Whether you join us for one of our daily in-person tours, or for one of our bi-weekly virtual tours livestreamed on our Choose UCalgary Youtube Channel, it's the perfect opportunity to get a sneak peak at the life you can build here and the community you'll get to be a part of.

During an in-person tour, you'll get to explore a wide range of campus spaces, from academic buildings and well-loved study spots to a first-year traditional residence building, recreation facilities, and key services that are here to support students throughout their entire degree. A current UCalgary student will guide you, sharing insights and stories that help you see campus through the eyes of someone who already calls it home. After your tour, you'll also have the chance to speak 1-on-1 with a UCalgary representative if you have questions about submitting an application or planning your next steps as a future student.

If you prefer to explore from home, our live virtual tour offers the same opportunity to get to know campus! For one hour, you'll move through key spaces in real time while getting to instant chat with a Student Ambassador who can answer your questions as they come up. It's an easy and accessible way to get a feel for campus life no matter where you are.

A campus tour is so much more than just a visit. It's your chance to determine whether UCalgary is the best place for you to grow, learn, and thrive. People often talk about universities deciding whether a student is the right fit for them, but the truth is that you’re deciding whether a university is the right fit for you as well! So, bring your curiosity, your excitement, and your hopes for what comes next. We'd love to welcome you to our campus.

Click here to register for one of our upcoming campus tours. See you soon!

The University of Calgary, located in the heart of Southern Alberta, both acknowledges and pays tribute to the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, which include the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprised of the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta (Districts 5 and 6).

The University of Calgary is situated on land Northwest of where the Bow River meets the Elbow River, a site traditionally known as Moh’kins’tsis to the Blackfoot, Wîchîspa to the Stoney Nakoda, and Guts’ists’i to the Tsuut’ina. On this land and in this place we strive to learn together, walk together, and grow together “in a good way.”
