Here's what you need to know about this exciting event! .png) The University of Calgary will be hosting its annual Open House event in person on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (MDT). We are super excited to show you everything that UCalgary has to offer, and why UCalgary is the right choice for you! This event is your chance to connect and chat with over 40 different faculties and services, explore our programs and gain valuable insight into university life and the UCalgary campus experience through campus tours and discovery sessions. Our Open House event will be split into four main components: Exhibit fairThe exhibit fair will consist of over 40 booths, including faculties, programs and support services. These exhibitors will be split into two different areas on our main campus. You can find all faculty exhibitors in the Jack Simpson Gym, while our Student Services and Experience Hall will be located in the the Hunter Student Commons lobby. If you have specific questions regarding program admission requirements, be sure to check out the Admissions Hub located in the Prospective Student Hub, where you can apply for admission on-campus with the help of our Admissions and Recruitment team. There will be ongoing Admissions 101 presentations hourly in the Taylor Institute Room 160 to answer all of your UCalgary admissions questions! Discovery sessions Discovery sessions are presentations that will dive deeper into a specific topic, faculty, or service area to provide answers to any questions you may have! Join a discovery session to explore sample lectures or information sessions of 30 to 45 minutes. Campus tours Be sure to attend one of the campus tours that will be running throughout the day – every half an hour starting at 9:15 a.m. (MDT)! The tours are guided by current UCalgary students and staff, and each tour will be 40 minutes in length. You will have the opportunity to ask your tour guide any questions you have while exploring our campus facilities. Specialty Tours In addition to the main campus tours, there will be residence-specific tours and faculty-specific tours running at various times throughout the day. For those who are interested in living on residence, Residence Services will be offering tours that run every half an hour starting at 9:30 a.m. (MDT). Below is a list of the different faculties and facilities that will be offering their own specialized tours. During these tours, you will have the opportunity to learn more about a specific program and explore some of our unique spaces on campus.
